Battle the Consortium in CHRONO PUNK, a high-speed third-person roguelite where you customize your doll-like Stitch to reclaim a ruined
If you are looking for a fast-paced challenge, CHRONO PUNK drops you into the Clockwork, a once-great metropolis now lying in ruins. You play as a Stitch, a doll-like being with a soul, tasked with rebelling against the Consortium, a mega-corporation that has seized control by manipulating time itself. It is a third-person action roguelite that emphasizes high-speed movement and deep combat, giving you the freedom to tackle the city's hazards either on your own or by teaming up with others.
Combat is central to your survival, and you have ten distinct weapons to master, split evenly between melee and ranged options. You can pick from tools like the Scythe, Greatsword, or Gauntlets for close-quarters, or switch to the Sniper, Bow, or Grimoire for ranged engagements. Each weapon features its own specific movesets, variants, and upgrade paths, allowing you to tailor your loadout to your preferred playstyle as you fight through the city's various districts.
Movement is just as important as your weapon choice. You will need to master parkour to navigate the city effectively, utilizing wallrunning, sliding, and grappling to bypass the Consortium's traps and hazards. As you progress, you will travel through different timelines using the Tempus Requiem Mechanica elevator, which serves as your gateway to the various districts where you will riot against the corporation's forces on your way to the clock-tower.
Beyond standard combat, you can customize your Stitch by finding new limbs and parts to boost your power, or simply swapping out clothing to change your look. You also have access to a mysterious domain called The Theater, where a spectator known as the Director grants you Soul Cards. These cards provide unique powers that can help you overcome the toughest challenges the Consortium throws your way during your runs.
The game stands out by framing your character as a Stitch, a doll-like being that you can physically modify with new parts. This ties directly into the progression system, where your character's capabilities evolve as you scavenge the ruins. The inclusion of the Director and the mysterious Theater adds an extra layer of intrigue, offering a source of power that exists outside the standard reality of the Clockwork.
This game is a great fit if you enjoy action-heavy roguelites that reward mastery of movement and combat systems. Whether you prefer solo play or teaming up with friends, the focus on build potential and character customization offers plenty of reasons to dive back into the Clockwork. If you enjoy games that blend fast parkour with tactical weapon choices, this is one to keep on your radar.
