About this game

Neuroflip is a card-based memory roguelike where you match pairs to defeat the court. Master your memory to climb the ranks and win.

Neuroflip puts a fresh spin on the roguelike genre by turning your memory into your primary weapon. You are tasked with navigating through three distinct acts, flipping and matching pairs to overcome the court of the deck. It is a test of focus where every move counts toward your goal of toppling the King.

Gameplay

The core loop is simple but demanding: you flip cards to find matches. While your first look at any card is free, the stakes rise quickly. If you forget where a pair is located and fail to match them correctly, you lose a life. It is a fair system that puts the responsibility entirely on your ability to retain information under pressure.

Every stage functions as a race against the clock. You need to memorize the position of each face as it appears, chaining your matches to build up multipliers that can boost your score by up to five times. You also have access to specific skills that you can trigger at the right moment to reveal hidden cards, helping you clear the board more efficiently.

As you progress, you will encounter six different card rarities, ranging from Iron to Emerald, which provide varying amounts of points and coins. Managing these effectively is crucial for your success as you navigate through battles, treasures, and merchants, preparing yourself for the final confrontation with the court.

What stands out

The game introduces unique twists through its elite encounters and boss battles. Each of these figures changes the rules of the stage in distinct ways, such as the Scribe who shuffles your cards or the Lady who hides faces under a veil. These mechanics ensure that no two stages feel exactly the same.

Beyond the standard matching, the game incorporates a layer of progression where you build your hand with drag-and-drop skills and passives. These choices allow you to find combinations that can significantly impact your run, adding a layer of depth to the memory-based gameplay.

Who might enjoy it

If you enjoy games that challenge your concentration and reward strategic thinking, this is one to keep an eye on. It is perfect for players who like to refine their skills through repeated runs, aiming to climb the challenge levels and master the deck.
