About this game

Shoot hoops, sign quirky teammates and build a basketball dynasty from a humble driveway to a stadium in outer space in Idle Hoops.

If you are looking for an idle game that keeps you actively engaged rather than just watching numbers crawl upward, Idle Hoops offers a fresh spin on the genre by putting a basketball in your hands. It takes the familiar loop of incremental progression and grounds it in a driveway setup with a single kid and a hoop, before eventually launching your ambitions all the way to a full stadium in outer space.

Gameplay

Every single shot you take relies on an active timing meter that asks you to pay attention to your rhythm. If you manage to release your shot right inside the green zone, you score a perfect swish worth double points, keeping your momentum going forward. Stringing together successful makes builds up your streak multiplier, but missing a shot wipes that streak instantly back to zero and tests your consistency.

When you want to step back from active shooting, you can sign various teammates who will continue to score points for you around the clock. Your roster begins with simple local company like the neighborhood kid and a pickup baller, but it eventually expands to include unique figures such as a mascot, a free-throw-bot, a low-gravity alien, and even a crown-wearing goat.

What stands out

What sets this apart from typical idle clickers is that you are never truly forced to sit back and watch; you can actively hold down the button to keep shooting if you trust your timing and steady hand. Hitting ten shots in a row triggers an on-fire state where every basket is worth triple points until your streak cools down.

Who might enjoy it

Fans of incremental titles who appreciate active gameplay elements, timing-based mechanics, and eccentric upgrade ladders will find plenty to keep them hooked as their roster grows increasingly bizarre.
